Assessment Evaluation Associates
In June 2009, Dr. Kerry Englert (Seneca LLC), Dr. Don Watson (Watson Learning), and Dr. Mike Harmon (TFLGroup LLC) formed Assessment Evaluation Associates.
AEA provides cost-effective research, evaluation, and technical assistance services to states and large school districts. We blend forward-thinking, creative approaches with over 80 years combined experience in assessment, evaluation, and psychometrics to develop real-world, practical solutions that are client-centered, innovative, and technically sound.
Examples of services we provide include helping states prepare for NCLB peer review; developing large scale modified, alternate, second language, formative, and interim assessments; identifying and implementing improvements in statewide assessment systems; developing requests for proposals; responding to requests for proposals; and otherwise managing large scale testing programs. For example, Dr. Watson and Dr. Englert recently worked with the New Mexico Department of Education to help that state prepare for an upcoming Title I Standards and Assessments Peer Review.
TFLGroup primarily focuses on providing research and evaluation services to small and underfunded school districts.
AEA primarily focuses on providing evaluation and technical assistance to testing programs in states and large school districts.
